Step 1: Open Your Email

  • Start by opening the email you want to edit or add text to.

Step 2: Click on the Text to Edit

  • Click directly on the text area where you want to make changes.
  • This will activate the text box, allowing you to start typing or make direct edits.

Best Practice: Clear Formatting When Pasting Text

  • If you copy and paste text from another document, it might bring unwanted styles. To fix this:
    • Use the eraser tool in Dynamics to clear formatting:
      • Highlight all text
      • Click the ellipses (…) in the toolbar and select the eraser tool
    • Alternatively, use a tool like Edit > Paste as plain text to clean formatting before pasting.

Option: Use the Text Editing Toolbar

  • At the top of your screen, you’ll see the Text Editing Toolbar (just below the From and Subject Line section).

  • You can use this toolbar to:

    • Bold or italicize text

    • Change alignment

    • Add links

    • Adjust text size

    • Select fonts

    • Add emojis

Option: Add Email Links

  • If you’re adding a contact email in the text, be sure to use the mailto: format. (Example: mailto:example@csusm.edu)

Step 6: Save Your Changes

  • Once you’re done making edits, don’t forget to click Save at the top-right corner.
