Step 1: Open Your Email
- Start by opening the email you want to edit or add text to.
Step 2: Click on the Text to Edit
- Click directly on the text area where you want to make changes.
- This will activate the text box, allowing you to start typing or make direct edits.

Best Practice: Clear Formatting When Pasting Text
- If you copy and paste text from another document, it might bring unwanted styles. To fix this:
- Use the eraser tool in Dynamics to clear formatting:
- Highlight all text
- Click the ellipses (…) in the toolbar and select the eraser tool
- Alternatively, use a tool like Edit > Paste as plain text to clean formatting before pasting.

Option: Use the Text Editing Toolbar
At the top of your screen, you’ll see the Text Editing Toolbar (just below the From and Subject Line section).
You can use this toolbar to:
Bold or italicize text
Change alignment
Add links
Adjust text size
Select fonts
Add emojis
Option: Add Email Links
- If you’re adding a contact email in the text, be sure to use the mailto: format. (Example: mailto:example@csusm.edu)
Step 6: Save Your Changes
- Once you’re done making edits, don’t forget to click Save at the top-right corner.
