Testing lets you see how your email will look like in an email inbox. It ensures that text is formatted correctly, links work, and everything is in place. Always make testing part of your review process—never skip this step!

Before sending, double-check the following parts of your email:

  • Sender Name: Make sure it's correct and includes @dynamics.csusm.edu as the domain.

  • Body Text: Make sure it’s formatted properly.
  • Images and Buttons: Ensure they are in the correct position.
  • Header and Footer: Confirm they match your department.
  • Unsubscribe Option (if required): Verify it’s included.
  • Preview and Test Tab: Use this to double-check your work.
  • Reply To Email in Settings on the right: Make sure this is correct and only includes @csusm.edu as the domain.
Important: Save your work at this point by clicking Save in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Send a Test Email

  • At the top-right corner of Dynamics, locate the Test Send button (to the left of Ready to Send).
  • Click on Test Send, and a pop-up will appear.

Step 3: Review the Test Email

  • Within a few minutes, the test email will appear in the recipient’s inbox, labeled [Test] in the subject line.
  • For a last minute review, confirm the following with the recipient:
    • Sender Name and Email: Ensure they are correct.
    • Subject Line: Confirm it’s clear and accurate.
    • Body Contents: Check for formatting, links, and button functionality.
    • Dates, Days, and Contact Information: Verify they are accurate.
  • Once everything looks good, you’re ready to move forward with sending your email!
