This guide shows you how to save an existing email as a reusable email template.
Note: If you want to create a completely new template from scratch, please contact University Communications, and they’ll guide you through the process with the design team.
Step 1: Log In and Open the Email Section
- Sign into Real-Time Dynamics.
- On the left-hand menu, find Channels and click on Emails.
Step 2: Open an Existing Email
- Find an email that you already created and want to use as the base for your template.
- Click to open the email.
Step 3: Save the Email as a Template
- At the top-right corner of the page, look for the Save button.
- Click on the small down arrow next to it and select Save as a Template.
Experiencing an error? This means there is something in your settings that need to be fixed. Please reach out to University Communications to help you reset your settings or save it as a template for you.
Step 4: Rename and Finalize the Template
- A side pop-up will appear.
- Rename the template to something generic and easy to recognize, like Yield Template.
- Remove the subject line, as it should be added when creating an email later.
- Once everything looks good, click Save and Close.
Step 5: Find and Use Your New Template
- Your saved template will now appear in the Custom Templates list every time you create a new email.
- Use the search bar to find it easily, and don’t forget to star it for quick access.
