Return back to the Dynamics Hub
Step 1: Open An Email
- Start by creating a new email or opening an existing one in Dynamics.
- If you’re using one of our CSUSM-approved templates, click on the blue email header in the email. Luckily, this header is already formatted as full-width so all you need to do is replace it.
- If you do not see a blue email header like the one below, go to our tutorial on How to Insert an Image.
Step 2: Replace the Image
- Once you click the header, a toolbar will appear above it.
- Click the Replace Image option on the toolbar.
Step 3: Find Your Department’s Header
- A pop-up window will appear on the left side with image options.
- Click on Browse Library to open the Asset Library or you can upload a new university approved header.
- Use the Search Bar to type in your department’s name (e.g., Office of the President).
Important Notes:
• The correct header is the dark blue version (800 x 134) with the white hills logo and the department name on the right-hand side.
• Do not use older versions, such as the white header. They are no longer in use.

• If you can’t find your department’s header, it hasn’t yet been created by the University Communication Design Team. You can:
– Submit a request to the Design Team by emailing message@csusm.edu, or
– Use the generic CSUSM email header temporarily shown above if you can’t wait.

- Then, click the Select button at the bottom of the pop-up.
Step 5: Check the Updated Header
- The email header will now update to the one you selected.
- You’re all set and ready to continue editing your email!
